I was born in Kaohsiung in the south of Taiwan. Like the hot weather here, I have a hot mind and a friendly personality. Both my parents were teachers, and they put a lot of effort into my older sister's and my education. Not only are our grades important, but our personalities are also very important to them. Since I was a child, my parents always taught me to be independent and strong enough to face tough situations and taught me how to bond with many people. Furthermore, I am an open-minded and easygoing person, so I can easily make many new friends and adapt to new environments. When I am free, I usually hang out and play basketball with my friends and also frequent bookstores to immerse myself in the calm atmosphere.

In college, I majored in Life Science and this education gave me solid knowledge of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Also, an internship in a laboratory taught me the scientific method. In addition to studying, I joined the college basketball team. The school team was not like a party, and the people who joined the school team had to be disciplined and obey the rules. This strengthened my morals, honor, and my character. I later became the leader of the basketball team, and this experience showed me how to lead a group to success.

In graduate school, I studied at the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and started researching the connection between microRNA and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. At that time, my advisor gave me good and complete training, and I learned not only the skills and knowledge of science but also the scientific spirit and logical thinking. Now, I can use these methods in many different fields.

After serving in the military, I got a sales job in a biotechnology company. A few months later, I realized that English was very essential so I decided to go to America to improve my English. I hope I can use my ability to assist the company in the future.
