Amo Chen

He worked in Nanya Technology Corporation as an in-house senior patent engineer from Feb.,1998 till Feb., 2004. Briefly, he initially worked on the patent prosecution issues and later did the technical analysis for solving patent infringement issues. During the term of being a patent engineer in Nanya, he had done thousands of prior search, patent proofread, and of course, some of the patent specifications. In addition to the above-mentioned, he also co-worked with the CIM department and established the Internal Patent Management System.

He worked in Lite-on Technology Corporation as a Patent Associate Manager from March, 2004 till May, 2005. He was a lecturer of IPR training course to share the relevant patent experience and did the relevant trademark cases in respect of prosecution, office action handling and licensing. The other jobs were like those in Nanya.

He worked in Hannstar Display Corp. & Inotera memories as a Patent Project Manager from March, 2005 till Oct., 2007. He was a leader of IPR team and planed the organization to improve the team function. The other jobs were like those of Nanya & Lite-On.

He worked in AIPT Patent, Trademark & Law Office as a Patent Business Manager from Oct., 2007 till Nov., 2008. He was a leader of Business team and planed the organization to service their customers well. He successfully introduced the patent digging system to improve the quality of patent proposals for their customers.

From his point of view, intellectual property rights are more and more important and shall not be ignored by any high-tech industry nowadays. IP rights can be kinds of the weapons for a company. They can not only act as a defensive barricade, but also can attack others by using these kinds of weapons. Based on the working experiences he’s got in the past, he’s sure that he’ll take his current position to be a long term objective of himself and he has the confident to make it in the future.
