Lawyer Bo-Yuan Chang

Mr. Chang graduated from the law school of Chen-Chi university, which is ranked as the second best law school in the Taiwan law schools . During his graduate school days, he specialized in civil law, including contracts, torts, and parts of the medical malpractice law. In addition, he dedicated himself thoroughly to academic research works and spent over one year accomplishing his master dissertation. The topic of this dissertation is “From causation to loss of a chance theory in the medical malpractice litigations---from the angle of possibility”. This work covered many crucial researches in torts, civil litigation, even philosophy of law, and was highly evaluated by the professors of his graduate school.

Bo-yuan Chang carried out his internship in Deep and Far Attorneys at Law firm. During this time, he learned a lot about the infringements and the legal protection procedure pertaining to trademark. In order to protect the clients’ rights, he had to write legal analyses, drafted briefs of indictment, charges or appeals, sometimes also had to draft trademarks co-existence contracts. Through these challenging but fascinating works, he finally knew how to satisfy the needs of the clients, how to persuade the judges, and how to best improve his services.

After his internship, Mr. Chang spent one year in Hshin-Chui district court and served as a judge-assistant. During this period of time, he had to do a lot of academic research for the judge to clarify some hard cases, especially in the civil law and family law spheres. Furthermore, he offered his opinions and helped the judge to complete their judgments. Therefore, besides seeing things from an attorney’s angle, he learned the thought system and the evaluation models of a judge. That’s why he could analyze legal cases in objective, systematic and creative ways.

Lawyer Bo-yuan Chang is really a hard-working and enthusiastic person, who is friendly and willing to offer his helps for solving legal problems, especially those in such spheres: contracts, torts, family law, trademark, copyright law, or criminal law. He could communicate with foreign clients in English, and could read legal bills or drafts written in English, German, and Japanese. If clients (including Taiwanese and foreign clients) need any help for legal consulting or taking legal actions, he would definitely try be a nice choice.
