Irene P.L. Wu

Professional Experience

Ms Wu, a patent director, began her services in Deep and Far from 2002. Prior to joining Deep and Far, Ms Wu was with the Development Center for Biotechnology in a period of 2 years as a researcher responsible for plant physiology research. Then, she became a member of Department of Agronomy of the National Taiwan University for six years. The major field of her research was the hot genetic engineering.

Now, Ms Wu is active in patent prosecution and litigation matters. Ms Wu has been concentrating on the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, particularly, the practices in Taiwan and Mainland China, and the rendering of opinions regarding patent application procedures. Her patent prosecution experience includes biotechnology, chemicals, plants, wireless communication and mechanism. She has handled hundreds of patent applications in these years where the allowed cases come to at least seventy cases per year. Because of her good performance, she got a promotion to be a patent director of the department for the import patent cases.

Working Language: Chinese and English

Education

Ms Wu received a M.S. degree in Agronomy from the National Taiwan University.
