Ming-Yen Lin

 

Miss Lin, a member of DEEP & FAR has her experiences since 1995.  Ms. Lin has continuously extensively involved in all phases of intellectual property law.  Much of Ms. Lin work relates to supervise prosecution and maintenance of intellectual property rights.

Professional Experience

Ms. Lin has prepared, filed, prosecuted and advised regarding, numerous utility and design patents and trademark and copyright registrations throughout the world.  She has also joined to litigate a great many of trademarks and copyright matters throughout the world.  Her experience includes providing appropriate analysis and comments concerning protections, arguments, appeals, cancellations, oppositions and litigations for trademark works in order to strive for benefits of the clients under the trademark law and the other applicable laws.  She has been engaged in the practice of intellectual property law, concentrating her practice on the clearance, registration and enforcement of trademarks, trade dress and copyrights in Taiwan, ROC, Mainland China, Hong Kong and internationally.  Ms. Lin also has extensive experience in licensing intellectual property, advertising substantiation and false advertising.  She also contributes comments for one who is a litigator (trials and appeals) and represents clients in courts, the Taiwanese Patent and Trademark Office and domain name dispute proceedings.

Representative Work

Ms. Lin is always consulted by clients in the licensing, sale and acquisition of patent, trademark, copyright and merchandising rights.  Ms. Lin, who has a law background, has also helped clients understand and comprehend interrelationship and interaction among intellectual property laws and civil code, criminal law, company law, bill act, maritime law, insurance law, unfair competition law and administrative appeal and litigation laws¡K etc., so that they can correctly make appropriate decisions to duly protect themselves.  She help clients acquire and enforce Taiwan and foreign trademark rights, copyrights and trade secrets, negotiates intellectual property licenses and technology transfers and prepares patentability and non-infringement opinions.  Her work applies strategic planning to intellectual property protection to help clients achieve their business goals.  Additionally, she has served as an expert witness or consultant in trademark cases.

Professional Activities

Ms. Lin is actively involved in the International Trademark Association (INTA).  

Education

Ms. Lin earned her Bachelor of Laws from Tunghai University in 1993.
